What stands out

More than a list of tools

Program Builder

The STEAM program was brand new to the school, so Dawn built it through trial, error, and consistent relationship-building with students and staff. She created a space where experimentation was expected and weekly lessons felt fresh, active, and student-centered.

Collaborative Partner

Dawn coordinated with teachers across grade levels to strengthen classroom instruction through digital tools, integrated projects, and in-classroom support. This included collaboration in the computer lab with the social studies teacher on projects such as family trees in Publisher, United States travel brochures in Google Docs, and world vacation budgets in Excel.

Student Experience Focus

Her classroom emphasizes trying, revising, exploring materials, and learning by doing. Students are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems together, and take pride in sharing what they made.
